ISV congratulates Alan Tudge on his appointment as Minister for Education and Youth

Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) today congratulated Mr Alan Tudge on his appointment as Australian Minister for Education and Youth.

ISV Chief Executive Michelle Green said she looked forward to working with Mr Tudge on a wide range of issues affecting all schools, especially specific matters affecting Independent schools which educate more than 150,000 students in Victoria.

‘Mr Tudge has shown a close interest in education throughout his political and professional career,’ Ms Green said. ‘As a Victorian, I know he has a particular interest in the challenges facing schools in this state.

‘We look forward to working with him as we emerge from what has been an extremely difficult year, especially for students and staff in Victorian schools who faced major challenges in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.’

Ms Green also thanked the outgoing former Minister for Education, Mr Dan Tehan, for his work in the education portfolio over the past two years.
