Digital badging and microcredentials
Enhance your professional visibility
Ever attended an event feeling inspired, but left wondering how you would put it into practice? Having an opportunity to formally reflect on our learning not only enhances our professional practice, but has a greater chance of influencing positive student outcomes.
From 2021, ISV is introducing digital badges to showcase the action and impact stemming from your professional learning.
Participants who engage in key professional learning programs will be able to take their professional learning to the next level in the following categories:
- Action and impact 1: Reflect and collaborate
Complete a reflection task and participate in discussion forums.
- Action and impact 2: Action research
Conduct action research and write a report, based on your school’s context.
- Action and impact 3: Lead and mentor others
Mentor or coach others in professional learning; lead an initiative across your school or within a broader network.
Successful completion will earn participants a digital credential that can be easily displayed, verified and shared online.
Professional Practice Credentials
Formal education equips us with the essential skills that educators require, but being able to demonstrate our broader transferable skills is vital in the evolving workplace.
We’re collaborating with Deakin University to introduce a suite of professional practice credentials in:
- Leading and developing people
These are the skills that we cultivate on the job and develop throughout our careers, but aren’t always easy to measure or demonstrate.
Externally recognised and independently verified, these credentials will enable you to prove your skills and experience, boost your resume and enhance your professional visibility.
Stay tuned for more information in 2021.
