Arts Learning Festival 2021

Reimagine. Recreate. Renew.

The Arts Learning Festival steps into a new and exciting space next year, with a program of innovative and interactive virtual events.

Our new festival theme is Reimagine, Recreate and Renew. After the upheavals of 2020, we think the theme strikes an important note of optimism, where the festival can be the vehicle for students to envision a new and positive future.

We’ve brought together some of the best international and Australian artists, galleries and museums, joining forces with ISV to deliver new workshops online. Much of the program will feature valuable resources and materials that can be used by students and schools at any time.

Presenters include:

  • Mary Mattingly (Visual Artist)
  • Graeme Leak (Composer and Music Creator)
  • Dr Maja Divjak (Biomedical Animator).

A three-phase festival for 2021

This festival will look a little different to our previous festivals in 2017 and 2019. We are providing greater flexibility for schools, delivering the festival in three phases throughout the school year.

We will begin with our popular Poetry Competition in Term One. In May, we will present the first part of the program, with another line-up of events at beginning and end of Term Three (late July and early September). We’ll be concluding with the Student Film Festival in November.

We will be launching the program details in February next year. You can register for updates at the Arts Learning festival website.
