Financial Questionnaire (FQ)
Information to assist schools when completing the Financial Questionnaire as part of the Australian Education Act 2013 (Cth) requirements and obligations for receiving Australian Government funding.
Yes. Under the Australian Education Act 2013 (Cth), all schools in receipt of Australian Government funding in a given year are required to complete the FQ in the following year.
The Department of Education Financial Questionnaire (FQ) is an annual collection of financial information from all non-government schools/systems receiving Australian Government Recurrent Grants.
Complete the FQ online for the previous calendar year (password required – supplied by the Department) by the required date (30 June each year).
Independent schools receive funding from the Australian Government under the Australian Education Act 2013 (Cth) subject to the conditions which are set out in the Act and associated regulations.
The FQ is a condition under the Act.
Where a school does not complete the FQ, the Minister has the right to delay or deny the payment of Australian Government grants to the school.
